KSR Group takes over MOTO MORINI in Germany

4 mai 2026

The KSR Group and the Italian motorcycle manufacturer MOTO MORINI have entered into a strategic partnership for the German market.

Since February 2026, there has already been a successful distribution partnership between MOTO MORINI and KSR Group’s subsidiaries in Greece and Switzerland. This cooperation model is now being expanded to the German market, offering several operational advantages:

  • KSR sources motorcycles directly from MOTO MORINI’s Italian factory warehouse, allowing fast response to market needs
  • In addition, KSR is directly connected to the MOTO MORINI spare parts warehouse, ensuring short delivery times for all required parts

The history of the traditional brand MOTO MORINI dates back to 1937, when Alfonso Morini founded the company in Bologna. Reliability and strong performance quickly made the young company famous worldwide. In the early years, new developments met the needs of the post-war period and were later also used in motorsport.

One of the most famous MOTO MORINI riders is 15-time world champion (8× 500cc and 7× 250cc) Giacomo Agostini. He started his career in the 1960s on a 250cc Bialbero, which laid the foundation for his exceptional success.

After a varied history over the following decades – including being part of the Cagiva/Ducati Group in the 1990s – the brand became part of the Zhongneng Vehicle Group in 2018. The European headquarters and the development department are still located in Italy, near Milan.

With new investment and resources, this new era aims to combine Italian heritage with strong production capabilities. This includes:

  • the return of the legendary V2 engine, fully developed in Italy
  • expansion into new segments, from adventure bikes to custom/cruiser bikes and more
  • a strong expansion of the international distribution network, especially in Europe and the USA

Michael Kirschenhofer, Managing Director of KSR Group:

“After the successful start of our partnership with the MOTO MORINI brand in Switzerland, we are very happy to now bring this cooperation to the German market as well. A very attractive product range with many unique features gives us great opportunities to give the brand a strong and lasting position in the German motorcycle market again.

The direct connection to the Italian vehicle and spare parts warehouse is also a clear advantage, especially in today’s challenging supply chain situation. We are looking forward to an exciting future with MOTO MORINI and will support this development with all our resources.”
