Very positive responses for the QJMOTOR Factory Racing Team at Jerez (Spain)

24 January 2025

The QJMOTOR Factory Racing Team has completed two days of testing at the Jerez Circuit in Spain. Riders Raffaele De Rosa and Niki Tuuli were able to test both the current SRK 800 RR with updates, and a prototype complete with a new aluminium frame.
The responses were positive, both in terms of the progress made with the bike used last season, and the new frame, which both riders appreciated.

Together with their QJMOTOR Factory Racing Team technicians, De Rosa and Tuuli got through a great deal of work and were able to test all the elements brought to Spain. The team worked hard with everyone apparently satisfied with the new components and new frame, which will equip the new Chinese bike, which will debut make its WorldSSP debut towards the middle of the season.

Further test sessions will be arranged prior to the start of the WorldSSP Challenge, scheduled to get underway on 28 March at the Autodromo do Algarve in Portugal.

Raffaele De Rosa: “We had a lot to test here at Jerez, including the new frame that will equip the bike we’ll use from mid-season onwards, and which immediately brought good results. Some of the issues we had last season have vanished and the lap times are there. We’ve worked very well, completing a good part of the work we’d planned, and the team has been fantastic. We’ll need some more test time and are organising that, but this has been an encouraging start. We’re highly motivated to do well and give it our all.”

Niki Tuuli: “It’s been great to get back on track after so long. On the first day of testing, I struggled to get back into a rhythm but then it all came naturally. We got through a great deal of work and once I’d built up confidence with the 2024 bike, I also tested the new one, which definitely offers greater potential. I immediately felt comfortable, even if the times didn’t improve too much because we still have to set up the bike properly. This is just the start of a really interesting project, and I can’t wait to get back on the bike.”
