Lecture series: KSR at the FH Joanneum

13 juni 2022

On 18 May, KSR was invited to the lecture series “Innovation in Automotive Engineering” at the FH Joanneum in Graz. Elias Juraszovich, Head of KSR’s Research and Development Center, spoke under the unwieldy but clear title “The World of Motorcycle Multi-Brand Design and Development Process in the International Supplier and Consumer Environment”.

Recent perspectives and techniques in the vehicle development and design process have opened up great potentials. At the same time, quite pragmatic problems and challenges in parts sourcing and global logistics as a whole have intensified in recent years.

The topics were accordingly wide-ranging. Among other things, Elias spoke about new approaches and techniques in vehicle design, the challenge of setting up production without a factory of one’s own, the consequences of the pandemic and the current situation regarding shortages and supply chains.

The audience also gained insights into KSR’s rather unconventional approach. Here, the main focus was on the tension between the roles of importer-manufacturer and the long-term goals in the further development of the group brands – the topics of the lecture could be well illustrated by the example of the Brixton Cromwell 1200, which is due to arrive at the dealers in the summer.

Interested attendees had the opportunity to test ride motorcycles from KSR and in return Elias Juraszovich was given a tour of the impressive vehicle technology test lab at the Joanneum.

KSR thanks those responsible for the lecture series for the invitation and the exciting exchange with the students.
